Postgraduate Diploma / MA Landscape Architecture

The Postgraduate Diploma in landscape Architecture is designed for students with either a first Honours Degree or a Graduate Diploma in Landscape Architecture or Garden Design. It is fully accredited by the Landscape Institute (the chartered body for Landscape Architecture in the UK) and completion of the Course gives Associate membership of the L.I. (also known as Part 3)

The Course combines the professional skills and knowledge required for L.I. membership and a career in Landscape Architecture with opportunities for a range of creative student responses to issues in contemporary landscape design.

This is achieved by modules covering exploratory design studio, professional practice, planning and urbanism theory, advanced planting and construction design, sustainable settlement design. The Course enables students to pursue personal design interests via a Major Design Project carried out on a site of the student's choosing.

Students wishing to further develop an aspect of their Landscape Architecture studies in greater depth may subsequently opt to undertake the MA Dissertation and obtain a Masters qualification in Landscape Architecture.

This course is endorsed by the Landscape Institute. For further information about the Landscape Institute and careers in Landscape Architecture please visit their website - www.iwanttobealandscapearchitect.com
